I wonder, did his perspective change because he was in a new body, or was it always there just buried? A third option is possible, the "Doctor" used his machine to make changes to Michael's personality, "fitting" him to his new body.
That's a pretty interesting question. I could imagine even if the scientist's machine was perfect in assessing who Michael was inside, his personality may change because of the way he sees himself... or, like you're saying maybe it was just cause he the scientist made sure he felt this fit afterwards with his machine!
I like the concept. Was she someone else or was his body transformed into her?
