Impending Shift

I was really excited for a mainstream comic that had
used the idea of basically an "impending Great Shift"
as a villain's plot for making a more egalitarian society.
How cool an idea to focus on what happens before
the Shift! And then they'd end up doing it after and we'd
get a sense of how it all worked out?

Nope. They didn't end up doing the Great Shift in the end...

That bummed me out. So I decided I'd try to cook up
some random assorted caps getting at this in their own
unique ways. As with a lot of my ideas, I have no idea
if I'll keep going with these, but here's a few!

  2. As a huge Great Shift fan I love that approach. :) It's really interesting to see the victims before their changes. Keep them coming :)

I just wonder, why is Kristen Stewart fitting for Tommy :D

    1. I'm gonna leave that to someone else... unless people are going to all the sudden not jump down my throat for adding pictures of guys here... to which I'll gladly start!

  6. I like the idea of knowing about the switch ahead of time and how one would react to such a switch.

Beautiful people being distraught and ugly people giddy at a new opportunity. Or people looking forward to new adventures/ sad to see their hard work going to waste.

I hope to see more ideas from this perspective

  8. This is an INCREDIBLE new twist and I love what you did here. Such a bummer that the Wonder Twins things didn't pan out. I was actually looking forward to that :(

    1. I know! Hate seeing potential for professional writers to do these stories and then just seeing it lost. I guess it's just more fodder for captioning though. This is kind of why I ended up getting into it- the feeling that other people aren't making the stories I wanna see!

    2. Okay, I'm intrigued. Story about the Wonder Twins? I happen to have a little time off, and even though I'm not a professional writer I have a story or two out there. Give me a shout if you'd like to discuss the idea. (2020zapper@gmail.com)

    3. Yeah, basically the latest Wonder Twins comic run was gearing up for a Great Shift and the whole world was freaking out. Lex Luthor was already making a business model for people who were trying to stay connected to each other post-Shift, etc. It was like a dream come true to see something like this being written... and then... the villain was taken down before he did the Shift and the comic's run ended. :/
