I refuse to let it be a whole year!

You heard me!

I don't want to embarrass myself by acting like people actually care about this post, but I'll just say I'm sorry to anyone who has felt "down" these past 11 months that I haven't posted. I really do think captioning is a form of escape, expression, and connection for the authors and the readers, and I think it's worth it for me to make the time to caption.

I feel like I'm a bit different now, so I'll likely be doing caption concepts that fit with the way I tend to think nowadays... so expect more "real you" and "tehs' feelings" caps, which I know aren't everyone's favorites.

That's not to say I won't be asking for requests again, but that selection process might be different too... (stay tuned?)

But all this is dependent on me actually following through. Just gimme a little time to figure out a pace I can maintain. I refuse to fail to upload a caption before June 24th, 2019 though!

Requests 3.0 (and more)

Trying to make a more organized request system, so...

I'm just gonna go through these systems for requests now.

I'm putting up a poll for caption requests, and caption tags/types you want to see.

For example, if you don't want to request a specific story but want more F2Fs, Exchange Islands, and, Body Hopper caps, the Tag Request Poll will let you tell me.  If you want a story about a body hopper on Exchange Island who flips through different women, the Caption Requests page is where you should go. Picture requests can get emailed (see below) with the title of your request.

Feel free to let me know as little/much as you want! I'll check these weekly (I think), but I won't be taking requests that are solely through email.

All an experiment, so we'll see how this goes.

Here's a reminder of some tips for requesting

Teh Switching Grounds

If you've been around here a while, you know I'm partial to Brad (aka SwitchHitter) at The Swapping Grounds blog. He and I decided to go ahead and make our collabs official, by making a new blog for just that: Teh Switching Grounds: http://tehswitchinggrounds.blogspot.com/

There's a "welcome" post over there, but the short of it is that we wanted to make a place for us to basically have fun. It's mostly going to reflect things that we want to do more than anything else, but instead of keeping it to ourselves, we figured we'd open it up to you guys to check out too.

So with that, please head over and check it every once and awhile when you're interested!

Requests 2.0

It's been a whole year since I started the Request Weekend, and my old requests page has almost 800 comments... And yes, I know that's likely just cause I have this Request Weekend thing and not cause you actually like me any, Lol. Anyway, I figured it was time for a new one, and since I've had so many requests I figured explaining what I look for would also be a good idea.
(I know you don't really care to read this, but reading the notes below may help you get your request actually done...!)

Old requests have NOT been deleted!

Here's a link to the old page

Quick Tips, Notes, etc.

• I put every request into a (digital) notebook after getting an email
• comments on this page get emailed to me
• comments on every page get emailed to me
• emails... get emailed to me ([my name]@gmail.com)
• doesn't matter where you post -- I funnel it from my email
• Usually I randomly choose to keep it fair
• If you're giving a picture, realize it might be a while till I get to it and your link might expire
• I hardly delete requests, but I often skip them for the "next" week, here's why:
• key phrases like "make a series"
• if your idea is something I feel I can keep writing about, it'll happen; asking for it is a bit daunting
• on the same note, telling me how many captions to make might give the same negative feeling
• requests for celeb swaps that I've done (a ton) before
• Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, etc. (check out my Celeb List)
• not being clear
• not including tons of details is fine and can be better sometimes, but making things confusing is not good
• too much detail
• I really enjoy reading what you guys have, but it can be daunting to have to try and include/shrink that into a caption
• coming off demanding
• I try to not let this bother me, but I'm sure it does!
• "questionable" pictures...
• bad quality, really racy stuff, other pics you don't usually see me post, etc.
• it's quite, quite ordinary
• I usually like to mix stories up from what I think are typical caps

Just wanted to put all this out there so you guys know what I'm thinking -- not saying this as a mandate -- request whatever you want, but just know that this is usually how I screen through things. I've made requests from people who've done all the things that usually get me to skip requests, but the if you want your request sooner I wouldn't do the stuff on the skip list.

Body Switched with Tehswitcher

Ok....so. How do I explain this? This isn't tehSwitcher. This is actually CelebSwap.

A day or two ago I found a package in the mail containing a strange looking statue. Something about the thing just got under my skin. The eyes on it glowed in a strange way too. I was about to throw it out but the second I touched it, I felt a shock and was standing in
a completely different room.

Didn't take a detective to find out that I was in a different body! One glance at the blinking e-mail on the computer screen in front of me
let me know that me and tehswitcher had actually switched bodies....yeah....

I think we have to discuss some really important things and quick. This isn't really how I expected this day to go.

We'll figure something out. Stay tuned.

Labels

Hi everyone!

Being a caption-reader myself, I know it can be very annoying or helpful to have labels to guide you to the caps you want to see. I wanted to poll you guys to see if you had any labels that would make certain caps easier to find for you.

So what I'm asking you to do is just comment with labels you'd want, maybe give a description to help me if you need to, or a couple caps (w/e helps you communicate it best to me).

If this is something you couldn't care less about, I guess I won't see any comments at all. But if I see a lot of comments asking for a specific label, that probably means I'm missing something. Just wanted to give you guys a chance to get what you want!

New Format

Hi guys!

Obviously skip this post if you don't care, but I'll be trying something new.

In recent discussions on captions' creativity, a user, rugal, gave an idea for a new format. The suggestion was to have my caps from Monday - Friday, and then on Saturday and Sunday have other captioners send in their caps for me to post. Now I assume other captioners are posting their caps on their own sites, so I won't be doing that. BUT, I think changing up the format might be a bit fun. Soo, I'm gonna try sticking to a new schedule of some sort.

Here's what I'm thinking:
My Ideas
Monday - Friday

Requests and Other Fun Things
Saturday & Sunday

Now you guys know my caps aren't always on-time, but the real point of this post is to fuel some creativity on Saturday/Sunday if you aren't pleased with the way things are going.

It's your chance to get what you want!

Since I'm opening this up to you guys on Saturday/Sunday, I'll be much more willing to branch out and do things I don't usually do (since I can blame y'all for it!). So send and resend your requests and whatnot and we'll see how this goes.

Thanks-thanks-thanks! ^.^

Since the poll was so close, I decided to compromise. I won't clutter the labels with celeb names, but I'll put them in this post (the link will be on the side).

Once these get unruly, I might add subheadings with labels like "mother/daughter" or something to make it easier. Or maybe I'll put a poll up to see what you guys want most...

Requests

I've decided to make this request page so you guys can post (below, preferably) what type of captions you'd like to see-- be it as broad as "body swap" or as specific as "45 yr old father swaps bodies with his 21 yr old daughter, who's a news anchor and he has to report the news of the Great Shift from her body..."

So yes. I will put a link on the side so you guys can always get to this post, and I'll check the comments here and respond to them as soon as I can! I'm a diligent captioner (sort-of) so you can count on me for making a horrible attempt at your requests -- just make sure you post them below! That'll make it easier for me!

Requested Pictures - I'm definitely open, but would appreciate it if you could just email them to me (so I can keep this blog organized and also keep it from being "super mature"). Email is my name (at)gmail.com

I hope you guys comment below with your lovely ideas & requests! This should allow me to do what I want AND please your specific wants at the same time! If I'm not responding it doesn't mean I haven't seen your comment! All in good time, friends. ^.^

Link to List of Finished Requests

Update (12/20/13): I will be captioning requests on Saturdays and Sundays, so be sure to look for your at those times -- and comment back to me! Click this text to get to the post that explains more.

Welcome!

Welcome to my horrible attempt at a blog!

If you're here, I assume you know all about TG/TFs, so I won't bother explaining that (if you don't know what that is, check out metamorphose.org, you might find out something new about yourself!).

Anyway, I'm trying to do something a bit different here. What should you expect? The Unexpected of course. But if that's not good enough, here's the gist of what I think I'll be doing...

• F2Fs (not enough of these kind of caps out there if you ask me)
• Great Shift
• Exchange Island
• Family Swaps
• Marital & Boyfriend/Girlfriend Swaps
• - the Swapifieds (a new type of thing I'm tryin, where people search your basic Craig's List/Newspaper classifieds for people renting/selling their bodies; in a swappy way of course!)
• - ...and Other Situational Body Swaps (stay tuned!)

So... as you can see I'm not too into classic transformations-- but that's not to say I ain't open to em! But clearly this is a swapper's blog.

If you want to shoot me an email about how sucky my blog is or the occasional "go you", click my about page to see where to email me.

That being said... please enjoy & leave comments/suggestions/nice-things!
